Exemplar Networks liquid broadband
24/05/2011
An article yesterday from the BBC reported that research scientists have used lasers to speed up the internet to reach terabit speeds. Effectively this means that in the not too distant future we will be able (in theory) to download the entire Library of Congress in ten seconds.
Our friends out in Parkwest, Intune Networks, who are building the Exemplar network have already commercialised the technology and yesterday launched their Verisma range of tunable laser machines. These machines will be coming to an exchange near you in November as part of the super high speed network that is being rolled out by the government. It promises to deliver liquid broadband and the term ‘bandwidth’ will fade to history for most of us.
This development will have a profound impact on both in-home and mobile media consumption. Verisma and Exemplar will give us (among lots of other things) digital marketing on steroids, EPO and any other performance enhancing drug you can think of! It really will herald the next marketing revolution.
Congratulations to everyone at Intune Networks and best of luck with the launch.
